Genevieve Caffelli has more than 20 years experience designing, initiating, implementing, teaching, and directing a wide variety of youth sports camps, leagues, tournaments, classes, after school and weekend activities, parties, and programs. She has worked with youth clubs, private schools, public school districts, parks and recreation departments, community centers and country clubs. She has had over 50,000 children enrolled in these youth activities. Her philosophy focuses on building confidence within her students while teaching teamwork and leadership skills. She holds a National Youth Coaching License. Genevieve has a Masters in Education and a Bachelors of Science in Training and Development from Oakland University where she was a varsity athlete. Genevieve’s focus over the last 8 years has been primarily on developing and implementing flag football programs throughout Oakland County. She has been a member of the NFL Youth Advisory Board and founded the Oakland Flag Football League (OFFL) and the Michigan Hurricanes Competitive Flag Travel Teams.

 

CURTIS BLACKWELL II

Curtis Blackwell II graduated from Martin Luther King, Jr. Senior High School, Hampton University and Baylor University. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Sports Management and a master’s degree in Sports Administration. He was the first recipient of the American Football Coaches Association/Baylor University joint Sports Administration Graduate Scholarship and selected to participate in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (N.C.A.A.) Internship Program. In 2003, he co-founded the Lifting As We Climb Foundation (LAWCF) Inc. a 501c3 charity that has worked with over 4,000 males since 2003. Curtis serves as program director for the organizations National initiative.

The Sound Mind Sound Body Football Academy, an overnight college prep program that has sent over 300 males to college on Full Scholarships. Since the program’s inception here in Detroit, it has expanded to Washington DC, Chicago, and Tulsa, Oklahoma and in 2012 Miami, New York and San Francisco. Curtis also created a mentoring/ after school tutorial program that provides free after school tutoring to underserved youth in Detroit, Pontiac, Flint and Saginaw. In 2010 the program expanded to Jackson and Meridian, Mississippi. Since its inception in 2008, the after school program has increased the academic performance of nearly 900 students by 1 grade level. In addition to his work with LAWCF, he also established a management and consulting entity, 

The Blackwell Management Group that operates an Alabama Style Chicken & Fish Restaurant as well as provides consulting services to Think Detroit PAL, Pop Warner football and several NFL Players. Curtis also serves as a Board member for the US Army Great Lakes Battalion and is an advisory council member with the Michigan DECA High School Association.

 

ABDULLAH MUHAMMAD

Abdullah Muhammad I was raised in Lansing, Michigan and graduated from Waverly High School where he was a 3 sport Varsity letter winner in Football, Basketball and Track. Upon graduation, he played Quarterback, Wide Receiver and Defensive back for Black Knights at the United States Military Academy @ West Point where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering. Abdullah’s coaching career started in 2005 as an offensive assistant at Martin Luther King, Jr. Senior High School coaching QB’s and Wide Receivers. After leaving King High School, Abdullah became the Offensive Coordinator for the Southfield Raven’s Tiny Mite team and his 2nd year became the head coach. Since then, he has been a head coach while posting 2 undefeated records and numerous scoring and defensive records for his Pop Warner team.


CHANTERIOUS BROCK

Coach Brock grew up in Detroit, MI. Coach participated in football in the Detroit Police Athletic League, in High School at King and Finney High Schools as well as on the next level at Lane College. Coach Brock began his coaching career as Defensive Coordinator of the Eastside Falcons A-Team, building a reputation for perennially fielding one of the best Defensive Units in the league. Coach Brock later became JV Defensive Coordinator and Varsity Linebacker Coach at Denby High School for a season. He then became Defensive Coordinator and Linebackers/Secondary Coach at Madison High School, where he fielded defensive units that were instrumental on two regional finalist. Coach Brock is currently Defensive Coordinator at Oak Park High School. 

Coach served concurrently as Director of Player Recruitment for the Sound Mind Sound Body Football Academy, Defensive Coordinator of Nationally Prominent Maximum Exposure/Detroit Football 7on7 Travel Team, as well as Lead Linebackers Coach for SMSB and the Best of the Midwest Football Showcase, all while securing recruiting opportunities for many of the areas top high school football prospects.


NATHAN FREDERIKSEN

Nathan graduated from West Bloomfield High School and Oakland University in May 2011. He has completed his Bachelors degree of Health Sciences with a concentration in pre-physical therapy and is continuing in pursuing his studies. He was constantly involved in athletics during his youth and is still very active in various sports. He has been League Director of the Oakland Flag Football League (OFFL) for 3 seasons, including the 2011 Winter Indoor League at the Silverdome in January 2011. He also assists in coaching basketball in the Bloomfield Hills School District.
